Starlux’s Bold Move: 10 More A350-1000s Ordered

News flash: Starlux isn’t playing it small. They’ve officially placed an order for 10 new Airbus A350-1000s. As a quick rewind, this ambitious airline took to the skies in 2020 and exclusively flies Airbus models. Right now, their fleet’s packed with 28 birds, including A350-900s, A330-900neos, and A321neos.

Currently, their A350 collection features 10 A350-900s. Previously, they had earmarked eight A350-1000s, so post this order, that number rockets to 18, bringing their future A350 tally to a whopping 28. The A350-1000 is hot property among wide-body jets: long range, massive capacity, and pockets-friendly operating costs make it a top pick. This jet is the big brother of the A350 family.

  • Late 2025: The first A350-1000 lands.
  • 2026: Five more join the squad.
  • 2027: Another two roll in.
  • 2031: The final batch arrives, marking the end of a grand aircraft parade.

This beefed-up fleet will enable Starlux to venture into unexplored territories like the U.S. East Coast and parts of Europe. Until those deliveries kick off, long-haul options are on hold.

The seating story is just as intriguing. Expect a total of 350 seats on these giants: four in first class, a generous 40 in business, 36 in premium economy, and 270 in economy. For context, their A350-900s host 306 seats, with 14 fewer in business and 30 less in economy.
