This small, cozy resort belongs to the Les Arcs skiing region and consists of five villages – Landry, Peisey, Nancroix, Vallandry, Plan-Peisey. The altitude of the resort is very comfortable: 1600 meters (Vallandry) and 1650 meters (Pesey). The resort is immersed in a coniferous forest, which gives it a special charm. Skiers approach their place of residence along pleasant forest slopes. There are no special a-pre-ski entertainments here, there are minimal but sufficient restaurants and shops, life in the resort is very calm and measured, which makes this resort especially attractive for family holidays with children. All its slopes are located on the southern sunny slopes, and the resort itself pleases with the warm, calm, friendly atmosphere of the Savoyard village and amazingly beautiful landscapes.

The main advantage of the Pessey-Vallandry resort is that it is located in the very heart of the Paradiski ski area. It is from here that the high-speed double-decker Vanoise Express cable car departs to the opposite side of the valley – to the La Plagne ski area. So for those who are going to ski the entire Paradiski area, we recommend staying in Pessey-Vallandry.
Trails, slopes, lifts
The Pessac-Vallandry ski area is connected to the neighboring ski area La Plan by the Vanoise Express cable car, the largest in Europe. The total length of the trails in the entire region exceeds 400 km. There is skiing on two glaciers – de la Chepe on the top of Mount Bellecote (3416 m) and Vari on the top of Aiguille Rouge (3226 m). The resort has its own “home” trails, mainly easy “blue” trails, laid through the forest and reliably protected from the wind. Descending the slopes, you can admire magnificent views of the Mont Blanc massif, the Beaufort Valley and the Tarentaise.
Pessac-Vallandry in France is known for the longest (7 km) and most picturesque slope in the Alps – La Forêt, which is perfect for beginner skiers and cross-country skiers. There are also easy slopes in the Vallandry area for beginners.

More experienced skiers and snowboarders will be interested in the huge skiing area between Les Arcs and La Plagne. There is a wide variety of slopes with altitude differences of up to 2000 m and several first-class snow parks.
Professionals should try the steep “black” and “red” slopes in Les Arcs, especially the slopes on the Aiguille Rouge mountain (3226 m). From its glacier to the village of Villaroger (1200 m) there is a 7-kilometer non-stop slope with a fairly significant slope – one of the steepest in Europe! The area also has many interesting slopes for freeriding and snowboarding. From the Les Arcs area, you can easily ski back to Pessac-Vallandry on the “blue” and “red” runs past the Arc 2000 and Arc 1800 stations.

Entertainment and outdoor activities
Pessey-Vallandry often hosts ski races and offers excellent conditions for winter sports: 43 km of cross-country ski trails, an open biathlon center, and children’s and adult ski schools.
The resort offers a variety of interesting activities for all ages. You can ride a dog sled or a horse-drawn sleigh through the vast expanses of the Vanoise National Park, try your hand at ice climbing and climb frozen waterfalls. For hiking enthusiasts, there is a wide selection of picturesque, quiet forest routes. Extreme sports enthusiasts will be able to admire the mountains from a bird’s eye view during a paragliding flight.
Once a week, the resort hosts a traditional competition for the best snow sculpture. It will also be interesting for the whole family to visit dairy farms, where hospitable hosts will show you how to milk a goat or a cow and, of course, treat everyone to delicious local cheeses.

Where to stay
Pessey-Vallandry in France offers tourists a wide choice of accommodation. Most hotels and chalets here are located directly on the slopes (ski-in / ski-out). The rest are within 50-150 m of the slopes. More budget residences are located in the lower villages, for example, Nancroix and Landry, from where ski buses run regularly to the lifts.
