Montenegro is known to everyone as a country of summer resorts, sea, beaches and warmth. And among our tourists, few people know that ski tourism has been developing in the mountains of Montenegro for many years. Montenegro also has its own charm in winter, and it has something to please ski lovers. Kolasin is one of the two ski resorts in Montenegro. And, perhaps, the most developed and equipped resort.

The slopes of the ski resort “Kolašin1450” are located 10.5 km from the city of Kolasin, and the slopes of “Kolašin 1600” – 13 km.

Ski resort

This resort was built back in the Yugoslav era. But it was developed quite modestly, because the main Montenegro’s main ski resort was Žabljak, and in neighboring Serbia there is the famous Kopaonik. In 2008, the investment company Beppler & Jacobson drew attention to Kolašin. Here they completely transformed two large hotels Bianka and Lipka (now Four Points), turning them into beautiful large 4* hotels. Along with the hotels, the ski resort was also bought, which was later completely re-equipped and reorganized. Now this resort meets all modern European standards of quality and safety.

Thanks to the small altitude differences and the variety of slopes, the Kolašin ski resort is ideal for both beginners and intermediate skiers. However, even an experienced rider will find something interesting for himself: freestyle slopes and a bit of virgin land. But absolutely every guest of the Kolašin resort will be captivated by the beauty of these places. So everyone will be satisfied.

Climatic conditions in the winter season

The resort is equipped with an artificial snowmaking system for the slopes at the foot of the slopes, which ensures a ski season from late December / early January and ends in April. The weather in winter is quite favorable and has a lot of sun and the absence of heavy snowfall. Guests will be especially pleased with the fact that there are practically no cold winds, avalanches are extremely rare, and the thermometer never shows a mark lower than -9 ° C.

The height of the snow is approximately 1-3 meters, which has a favorable effect on the slopes. Tourists will especially be pleased with the beautiful slopes of the mountains. Their slope is 25-45 ° C, and the grassy “cover” will allow skiing with a small height of snow. The snowiest months in Kolašin are considered to be the period from mid-January to mid-March.
