The Wisla resort is located in the valley of the Vistula River, which gave its name to the small but very beautiful town.

It resembles a precious pearl, which is surrounded on all sides by snow-white mountain slopes and sharp peaks, so visitors have the impression that they have fallen into a real winter fairy tale.

The ski season here begins as early as early December and ends after the end of March. Due to the excellent slopes and affordable prices on the lift, Wisła is becoming a very popular vacation spot for foreign tourists.

This resort town is located on a fifteen-kilometer stretch formed by the Vistula River. Around it are mountains with a height of 640 meters to 1221. But still, the resort area is well connected with other major cities in Poland by means of constant transport connections.

This resort area, in terms of the picturesqueness of the surrounding nature, can be compared to the uniqueness of the Alpine mountains, so popular in Europe. However, in terms of energy, Wisła is in no way inferior to the most popular mountain areas. Dense coniferous forests, amazing mountain views, as well as pleasant town houses and cozy restaurants, shops and bars.

Despite the fact that Wisla is considered a small resort town, it has a very interesting history – at different times such famous personalities as Władysław Reymont, Bolesław Prus and Maria Konopnicka rested here. By the way, it was here that one of the most famous skiers in Poland – Adam Malysz was born.

The Wisła resort consists of four skiing areas – Cienków, Stożek, Soszów and Jawiernik, each of which has its own characteristics and advantages, although the slopes here are perfect for both beginners and professionals.

Cienków. It is considered the central area, in which there are two parallel tow lifts. The total length of the trails in this part of the Vistula is 3 km, and the height difference is 540 m.

Stozhek First of all, it attracts a large number of extreme sports enthusiasts, as it is here that a convenient giant slalom trail is located, equipped with a descent time measurement system.

Soszów. Famous for its interesting and exciting skiing locations, which is why it is constantly crowded with both Polish and foreign tourists. Soszów is famous for some of the most interesting slopes. For example, the track near the large ski lift, which turns quite sharply in front of the camp site called Na Soszowie and then rises almost to the very top along the Polish-Czech border, from where you can see two countries at once – Poland and the Czech Republic.

Jawirnik. Located at the highest point of the resort, this area is considered the most picturesque and calm.

It is worth noting that travelers speak warmly not only about the mild climate (about -3 degrees in January) or about suitable conditions for skiing, but also about the unusual friendliness of the locals.
