Alagna Valsesia ski resort has 180 kilometers of ski slopes of varying difficulty: 45 trails are marked blue, 117 km are red, 16 km are black and 2 km are orange trails for snowboard cross. The resort’s 67 ski routes pass through picturesque places, offering spectacular views of Monte Rosa. 37 lifts take tourists to heights from 1,212 to 3,275 meters.

Alanya, with its steep slopes, is the most interesting and difficult part of the Monterosa Ski ski complex, this place is especially attractive for fans of heli-skiing – free descent along untouched snowy slopes. In addition to skiers with a high and medium level of training, the resort offers skiing entertainment for those who are just learning this type of active recreation, as well as for children. Experienced instructors will teach both adults and children various areas of skiing. There is a snow park especially for snowboarding and freestyle lovers.

The picturesque village of Alagna Valsesia with its stone church and small farm buildings is located in the vast Monterosa ski area. The nearby slopes will definitely appeal to professional skiers and snowboarders: exciting slopes with many difficult tasks will not let anyone get bored. This place is not suitable for those who have only recently learned or are still learning to stand on skis. This is also not a place for nightlife lovers: the lights go out here almost immediately after dinner. If you are planning a large-scale rental tomorrow, then you just need to get a good night’s sleep.
Alanya has only 15 kilometers of slopes, but the village is connected to the nearby resorts of Gressoney and Champoluc, which offer tourists dozens of kilometers of excellent slopes. The village itself is located at an altitude of 1212 meters, but fast funiculars will take you to the peaks of 3275 meters, from where stunning views open.

The town of Arabba is located in the Sella Ronda ski area, but it is from here that the best place to start exploring the most amazing slopes. Not only are there some of the steepest descents in the entire Dolomites, but some of the most beautiful views in Italy are also open here.

Where to stay
Agriturismo Alagna is a beautifully restored old farmhouse located not far from the main funicular. The owners of the mini-hotel are always happy to welcome guests, offering them comfortable rooms with wood and stone finishes. One night with breakfast here will cost about 80-100 euros for two.

Other options
Alania Valsesia, Italy is a great resort for lovers of solitude and silence. The city itself is not densely populated, but that doesn’t matter. The main treasure here is the ski slopes.
