The Mondolè Ski ski resort is located in the Maritime Alps and includes the ski resorts of Artesina, Frabosa Soprana and Prato Nevoso. Each of these resorts has its own characteristics. Artesina is a modern ski resort with steep, breathtaking slopes and numerous mountain shelters for tourists. Prato Nevoso is more family-oriented. Frabosa Soprana is a small mountain village with a population of 830 people, which doubles in the winter season, when the village becomes a lively tourist destination.

Mondole Ski Resort offers more than 130 km of slopes for skiers of all levels, 31 lifts of various types, a snow park with snowboarding trails, as well as a night ski complex (in Prato Nevoso), open from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM four days a week. There are three play areas in the snow for children, as well as ski schools for the youngest. Those who wish can take snowmobile excursions.

The ski complex has restaurants serving typical local dishes, bars, two museums dedicated to the traditions of this region, and 4,500 places have been prepared for tourists. From Mondole Ski you can reach Savona in one hour by car and Genoa in two hours.

Prato Nevoso

Prato Nevoso is another popular ski resort, the second most important in the province of Cuneo after Limone Piemonte. It is located on the slopes of Mount Mondole in the Ligurian Alps, at an altitude of about 1,500 meters.

Prato Nevoso (which translates as “snow meadow”) is mainly designed for mass tourism, for skiers with a low level of training. Gentle slopes, wide slopes, a large number of warm sunny days a year, a long ski season (from November to May) – all this attracts tourists, who often come here with whole families.

This ski resort was built relatively recently, in the 1960s, when a group of entrepreneurs decided to create a winter resort that would be easily accessible from both Genoa and Turin. Over the past decades, hotel complexes have been built here, sufficient to accommodate everyone, including those who intend to spend only a weekend in the mountains.

Slopes of Prato Nevoso

In the 90s, Prato Nevoso experienced a “second birth”: the ski center was modernized, lifts were added, “cannons” for creating artificial snow, which allows extending the winter season, in addition, two ski slopes were equipped with lighting for sports in the evening, and a a snow park for snowboarders.

Hotel Mondolé 3-star hotel

The Mondolé Hotel is located right on the ski slopes of the Mondolé ski resort, next to shops and restaurants. It offers rooms with mountain views, ski storage and a free wellness centre.

The renovated rooms at the hotel are decorated with classic furniture. They feature a TV and wardrobe. The bathroom comes with a hairdryer. Most rooms have parquet floors, while some are carpeted.

A buffet breakfast with snacks and sweets is served in the Mondolé restaurant hall in the morning. The restaurant serves local and Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner. There is also a bar.

Albergo Delle Alpi is a 10-minute drive from the Mondole ski resort. It offers free Wi-Fi, ski storage and a traditional restaurant. An Italian breakfast is served daily.
