Location and history of the resort

As a ski resort, Le Arc was founded in 1960. The initiator of this was the French tourism manager Roger Godino, together with local guide Roberto Blanca. The record time shown on this track, specially prepared for straight descents, is 250 km / h.

For skiers with intermediate training and beginners – wide slopes flowing from the Col de la Chat pass (2600) to Arc 2000; for those who are taking their first steps in skiing, there is a convenient platform near the station itself. Many easy “red” and “blue” slopes, suitable for calm family skiing, are located on the slopes above Arc 1600 and Arc 1800. Training runs are also located right in front of the stations. Having climbed the Vagere 6-chair lift, you can traverse to the left, to the picturesque forest trails of medium difficulty above Pesey-Vallandri.
