Madonna di Campiglio, located in the Italian Alps, is very popular with wealthy tourists who come here both in winter and summer. In winter, it is attractive for skiers and snowboarders, and in summer the resort is visited by fans of fishing, mountain biking and hiking, as it is located in the picturesque Adamello-Brenta Natural Park.
The mountain village of Madonna di Campiglio attracted the attention of tourists in the second half of the 19th century – it was discovered for himself as a great place to relax by the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph, and then by other eminent persons of the European aristocracy.

The total length of the resort’s 35 ski slopes is 150 km
The interest from the nobility coincided with the heyday of mountaineering. This contributed to the rapid transformation of the Alpine village into a prestigious resort with a world name, which has gained a reputation as the most stylish in the country. Since 1967, the stages of the Alpine Skiing World Cup have been held here, as well as other, no less prestigious competitions organized by the International Ski Federation.
The resort can be called universal with confidence: both beginners who have started skiing for the first time and experienced athletes feel quite comfortable here. The total length of 35 ski slopes, which occupy a large space on the slopes of the Adamello and Dolomiti di Brenta mountain ranges, is 150 kilometers.
41% of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, 40% are gentle blue slopes and 16% are black slopes of particular difficulty.
It should be noted that the slopes are located at different altitudes – from 1522 to 2504 meters, thanks to which skiers can choose the most convenient place for skiing depending on weather conditions – temperature, snow cover thickness, wind direction.

30 lifts provide comfortable transport for skiers to the ski areas
The black slopes of Madonna di Campiglio for professional skiers are located on the slopes of the Monte Spinale peak, as well as in the Canalone-Miramonti and Malga-Montaglioni areas. Intermediate athletes will be interested in the winding Graffer descent, the long Pozza Vecchia, located on the northern slopes, and the Five Lakes ski area.
Beginners will undoubtedly enjoy the short Fortini run and the longer Spinale Diretta on the slopes of Pancugolo, the Fiocco di Nevi and Zeledria runs in Pradalago. 30 lifts of various types ensure comfortable movement of skiers to the skiing areas, and free buses run between the runs.
For the convenience of vacationers in Madonna di Campiglio, a ski pass system operates. The cost of a ski pass depends on the season, validity period, and accessibility zone. There are several types of ski passes: one gives the right to use only the lifts of the region, the second – Skiarea Campiglio Dolomiti dl Brenta, covers the lifts of Madonna di Campiglio, Folgarida-Marilleva and Pinzolo, the third – Superskirama, allows you to move without problems also in Peio, Passo Tonale, Paganello, Folgaria-Lavarone and Monte Bondone.
