Monte Bondone is considered the oldest of the Dolomite ski resorts. Monte Bondone is the birthplace of alpine skiing in the autonomous region of Trentino. Skiers began to explore the slopes of this mountain in 1934. The first ski lift in Trentino, designed by Giovanni Graffer, was installed here. In 1959, the international children’s and youth alpine skiing competitions “Trofeo Topolina” were held on the slopes of Monte Bondone. The total length of the Monte Bondone ski slopes is 20 km. There are 6 blue, 12 red and 1 black slopes on the slopes of the mountain. They are served by 6 lifts. Monte Bondone has a modern artificial snow system. The highest point of the ski area is 2,090 m, the lowest is 1,184 m. The difference in altitude is 906 m.

Monte Bondone’s two ski areas with red and blue slopes are located on the slopes of the Palon and Montezel. The pride of the region is the 4-kilometer difficult descent from the top of Mount Palon to the village of Viote.
