Mount Slema has several ski slopes, all of which, except for the White one, connect at the foot at one point. Slema’s slopes are not marked by names or titles – only by colors. This introduces some confusion. For example, the Green slope should be the easiest according to the classification, but in fact, it should be marked red due to its complexity. In addition to the Green slope, there is also the White, the longest and the Blue slopes.
The slopes on Slema have a total length of about 4 km. Not so long ago, the Red slope was equipped, intended for international competitions, since the “Snow Queen Trophy” is held annually in Slema.
Given the close location of Zagreb with a population of about a million inhabitants, together with the suburbs, in good weather the slopes are often crowded. This makes the organizers think about increasing the capacity of Sleme, about building new slopes. The relief of Medvednica Park allows this to be done.

The resort, in Medvednica Park, has several mountain lodges and a hotel. One restaurant has recently been renovated and expanded, and others are also in the process of being modernized.
Today, thanks to Sleme, Zagreb is probably the only capital in the world with a world-class ski resort on its territory. The presence of guns for creating artificial snow allows the resort to be independent of the weather. The trails also do not depend on the time of day, as they are equipped with lighting for night skiing.
