Garmisch-Paterkirchen

Garmisch-Paterkirchen is a classic ski resort and, moreover, the capital of the 1936 Olympic Games. This is the country’s calling card, its main center of alpine skiing. It is divided into 2 skiing zones – Garmisch Classic and the glacier Zugspitze. The latter has steep “black” slopes only for pros and excellent slopes for snowboarding. Garmisch Classic also has difficult slopes for experienced skiers. The “red” slopes of both zones have an interesting relief. Usually professional skiers go to Kandahar, where there is a difference of 940 meters. But there is a place for beginners and kids to ski. The resort consists of three skiing areas: Nebelhorn, Fellhorn and Zöllereck, on which trails and slopes of various levels of difficulty are built.
