Entrance was through the galleries, then visitors went up the stairs to their seats. The theater stage, as well as the vault, were decorated with antique statues and elegant tiles. Of course, the decor from those times has practically not been preserved, now we can see only the remains of the former grandeur and luxury: masks that represent Tragedy and Comedy , Medusa-Gorgon heads, which lie in chaotic order on the ancient scene. The Romans, who loved to visit exciting spectacles, regularly went to this amphitheater to taste the bloody fights of gladiators with large predators, as well as to watch amazing sea battles, for the sake of which the stage was filled with water.
