Travel blogger? That sounds like a dream job, doesn’t it? In 2015, we didn’t even know that you could make money with it or what this job actually entailed. We published our blog as a travel diary for our family and friends. We wanted to document our trip around the world and share all our experiences with our loved ones. Our travel blog couldn’t really do much back then; you could just write text and add a few pictures. At that point, we had no idea about blogging, the travel blogger scene (which was still manageable back then), social media, website creation, HTML, accounting, marketing, and much more.
At some point during our trip around the world, however, we needed a meaningful task, because being on the road every day actually gets tiring and unfulfilling. Of course, we had a breathtaking time out there, but amidst all the adventures, we were also looking for something fulfilling to do. And so we tinkered with our website, delved into entirely new topics, and over the months and years, we became true travel bloggers. We wrote higher-quality, more informative texts, took better photos and videos, and over time, we gained more and more followers and readers.
From then on, we worked more professionally and were able to earn our first decent money with our travel blog in 2017. In 2016, we even received our first collaboration request, which we were, of course, thrilled about. We’ll reveal the product in today’s podcast. We’ll also share a little insider information and talk about our career as travel bloggers. We’ve been doing this for over 6 years now, and thanks to the travel blog, we can pay all our bills, lead a fulfilling life, and continue to express ourselves creatively.
