Fancy a multi-day canoe tour through the Mecklenburg Lake District? Summer is finally here, and we’re so excited to enjoy adventures big and small in nature. Today’s podcast is all about our canoe tour through the Lake District, which we undertook last summer. So why travel to Sweden when you can have this wonderful adventure right here in Germany? The Mecklenburg Lake District, with its over 1,100 lakes, is perfect for a canoe tour and awaits you with beautiful canals, rivers, lakes, towns, and campsites.

It’s simply wonderful to be out in nature for several days, breathe in the fresh air, fall asleep in your tent, and plan your route the next morning with a fresh cup of coffee. Last year, we did both the short (4 days) and the long (7 days) tours by kayak and canoe. Both canoe tours were fantastic, exciting, and varied. In today’s episode, we talk about our experiences and give you plenty of useful tips on boat selection, costs, routes, equipment, and much more.

You can watch both tours again in our Instagram highlights and read the posts about them here on our blog. If you still have questions about these micro-adventures, feel free to send us a message on Instagram, Facebook, or email. We highly recommend such a trip, because the nature of the Mecklenburg Lake District is simply stunning and can definitely compete with Sweden and the like. Save yourself the long journey and discover our beautiful Germany!
