Belek is the pearl of the Antalya Riviera. The youngest and most advanced resort in Turkey did not grow on ancient cities and historical ruins, it was made famous by wonderful natural spaces and the beckoning shores of the Mediterranean Sea, which gently envelop the town in the salty aroma of breezes. Turquoise water, rocky shores, mesmerizing lagoons, eucalyptus and coniferous forests – all this offers to fully enjoy a vacation at sea in Belek.
Beach tourism is one of the main aspects of the resort. Everything here is one way or another connected with the sea, beaches and all kinds of entertainment on the water. The resort season lasts from May to October, in other months life here practically freezes, waiting for spring.
Climate and weather at sea
In May, the water in the Mediterranean Sea warms up to 22-24 ° and gives a start to the armies of tourists, thirsty for sea coolness, sun hugs and chocolate tan. In June, the thermometer marks inexorably creep up to 30-35 °, in the water these indicators approach 27 ° – Belek will have to live in such a warm company until September itself, when the heat subsides a little and signals to the sea that it is time to cool down.
The velvet holiday season lasts until October, although there is a clear decrease in temperature. In winter, the temperature in the sea is 17 °, so it is not difficult for him to warm up quickly in the spring.
Athletes and divers continue to visit the coast even in deep autumn, armed with insulated ammunition.
Rains are infrequent guests of the Turkish shores, in the summer months beach fun continues non-stop from morning to evening.
What made Belek a leader in beach tourism was its impeccable environmental conditions. The sea in Belek always pleases with its cleanliness and impeccable transparency, so swimming here is not only pleasant, but also completely safe. Due to the sandy bottom, the sea often becomes cloudy during active hours of rest and during storms, but only for a short time. It is worth going away from the shore – and you can already look at the underwater panoramas, and if you have glasses or a mask, admiring the sea spaces will not be a problem at all.
