In our Mauritius Podcast, we talk today about our time on the small, dream island in the Indian Ocean. We landed on the island relatively spontaneously and had “planned” a two-week vacation. In the end, however, we actually stayed for a full four months because we simply loved it so much.
The island awaited us with beautiful, dreamy beaches, meter-high palm trees, a hilly and lush green mountain landscape, hospitable locals, delicious food, and countless adventures. Mauritius immediately burrowed into our hearts!
We always thought Mauritius was a very expensive luxury island with lots of honeymooners. But it’s not that expensive at all. Since we were there for a few months, we have some great money-saving tips for you.
We stayed in simple rooms and apartments for €10-20, enjoyed delicious food for a few euros, and took the bus for just a few cents. Furthermore, many highlights on the island are free. Be sure to also visit our Mauritius travel blog and browse through our posts.
In today’s Mauritius podcast, we take you to the island and talk about, among other things, our entry into the country, driving, our accommodations, the different cultures, the food, some sights and beaches, safety on the island, and much more. If you have any questions, please leave a comment or send us a message. We will try to respond as quickly as possible.
