Trou aux Biches is also very popular with travelers. Here you’ll find a kilometer-long, beautiful beach shady with palm trees. The resort is very well-developed for tourism and offers practically everything you could need. Trou aux Biches is a perfect area in Mauritius, especially for families with children. Mauritius Hotels in Flic en Flac
Flic en Flac is definitely one of the best areas in Mauritius for us because you can get anywhere from here really easily. The island may not be huge, but don’t underestimate the distances – getting from the southeast to the north can take quite a while.
If you stay in Flic en Flac, however, you’ll be much more central and reach all the hotspots much faster. The area here is also quite pristine and not completely built up with large resorts. Instead, there are many apartments and vacation homes, which makes the whole place pleasantly relaxed. We have spent a lot of time in Flic en Flac ourselves and would love to come back again and again.

Mauritius Hotels in Tamarin & La Gaulette
You can also find accommodation and hotels in Tamarin and La Gaulette. The beach in Tamarin is mostly crowded with locals and surfers. In the bay, you can occasionally find really good waves, you might not believe it.
Especially in July and August, you can catch a wave or two here. The beach is surrounded by many green picnic areas. The tides have a big influence on the beach. At high tide, some parts of the beach are not accessible.

Le Morne is one of the most beautiful corners of the island. It’s home not only to some of the best hotels in Mauritius, but also to some of the most beautiful beaches on the entire island. We enjoyed traveling in the southeast, simply because of the scenic beauty there.
The water is crystal clear, the sand is soft, and the backdrop is further enhanced by the Le Morne Brabant. The icing on the cake: all the beaches on the island are open to the public! That’s why you can lie directly on the beach of the luxury hotels without feeling guilty!
