Or, if you fancy, plant yourself at the high-top communal seating, find a cozy table, or set up shop at a workstation along the lounge’s perimeter.

And for those partial to a not-quite view, behold the apron-level outlook from the windowed sections. Hope there’s a plane at B49 to gaze upon, even if the view’s more hitch than hit.

Food & Drinks in the Lufthansa Business Lounge

Style and design scores may dip, but the edibles lifted the mood. By Priority Pass standards, the grub’s a win, hanging out at the buffet, freely inviting you to return as you please.

On the buffet horizon, during my visit:

• Blood orange and fennel salad with a goat cheese twist
• Gaiety-inducing quinoa salad, accented with roasted squash, kale, and pesto
• A turkey must-have: cranberry, provolone, dijon, and attitude-come-sandwich

Lufthansa sticks to its guns with reliable lounge catering. It may not be fireworks inducing, but for Priority Pass joints, it gets the nod.

Bathrooms? Check. Venture to the back left, where you’ll find separate facilities for men and women. The men’s room is snugly stocked with three sinks, two toilets, and a duo of urinals—a standard, no-frills, pragmatic setup.

There’s also a shower room—I imagine it’s a nice touch, though I didn’t inspect it myself.

Bottom Line

Lounges at Washington Dulles offer a little something for everyone, especially for the Priority Pass crowd. The Lufthansa Business Lounge is the spot if meals are what you seek—but for a leisurely hangout, perhaps not the top pick, given its bunker-like vibe and decor that doesn’t quite inspire.

But the silver lining? The Lufthansa Senator Lounge grins back with its ample natural light and warm ambiance.
