The Wisla resort is located in the valley of the Vistula River, which gave its name to a small but very beautiful town.

This resort town is located on a fifteen-kilometer stretch formed by the Vistula River. All around are mountains with a height of 640 meters to 1,221 meters. But still, the resort area is well connected with other large cities of Poland with the help of constant transport connections.
This resort area can be compared to the uniqueness of the Alpine mountains, so popular in Europe, in terms of the picturesqueness of the surrounding nature. However, in terms of energy, Vistula is in no way inferior to the most popular mountain areas. Dense coniferous forests, amazing views of the mountains, as well as pleasant town houses and cozy restaurants, shops and bars.
Despite the fact that Wisla is considered a small resort town, it has a very interesting history – at different times such famous personalities as Władysław Raymont, Bolesław Prus and Maria Konopnicka rested here. By the way, one of the most famous skiers in Poland – Adam Malysh – was born here.
How to get there
Thanks to excellent transport connections, the road to Vistula will not be a big problem for tourists.
Bus routes and highways connect the resort with the country’s largest cities: for example, the distance from Vistula to Warsaw is 380 km, to Krakow – 130 km, and to Katowice – 90 km.
By train from Warsaw:
We transfer to Katowice, we are waiting for those who are going to Vistula from Warsaw. The train leaves every four hours (mostly in the first half of the day). The time of travel by train will take from 5 to 7 hours.
By train from Krakow:
A train from Krakow follows every 3-4 hours, with transfers in Katowice. Travel time is 4-5 hours. A bus runs 1-2 times a day along the route: Krakow-Visula.

Tracks
The Vistula resort consists of four skiing areas – Cienkuv, Stožek, Sošuv and Yavirnyk, each of which has its own characteristics and merits, although the tracks here are perfect for both beginners and professionals.
Tsenkuv _ It is considered the central zone, in which there are two parallel rope lifts. The total length of the tracks in this part of the Vistula is 3 km, and the height difference is 540 m.
Stozek First of all, it attracts a large number of extreme fans, as it is here that a convenient route for giant slalom, equipped with a system for measuring the time of descent, is located.
Shoshuv It is famous for its interesting and exciting skiing places, thanks to which it is constantly crowded with both Polish and foreign tourists. Soshuv is famous for some of the most interesting routes. For example, the track near the big lift, which turns rather sharply in front of the camp called Na Soszowie and then climbs almost to the very top along the Polish-Czech border, from where you can see two countries at once – Poland and the Czech Republic.
Squirrel It is located at the highest point of the resort, and this area is considered the most picturesque and peaceful.
It is worth noting that travelers speak warmly not only about the mild climate (about -3 degrees in January) or about suitable conditions for skiing, but also about the unusual friendliness of local residents.
Additional entertainment
One of the most favorite and interesting pastimes for all visitors to the Vistula are excursions to the old mansion on Barany Hill, where the famous Golembiewski hotel is now located, with a year-round water park and night club.
