Well, actually about the mountain itself and skiing on it – you can rent ski equipment directly near the lifts or further away, where it will be cheaper, but the service may be a little less. The prices are different – skis, boots and poles can be bought from PLN 35; snowboard and boots for 45-50 PLN per day. A ski pass for day skiing for three days will cost PLN 227. There is a lift to the middle of the mountain, from which you can go down the blue slope or climb to the very top and fly along the black track. There is also a large lift directly to the top.
It is allowed to climb to the top only without skis or snowboards. But even just walking on the top of Shchernitsa is expensive. The mountain is located right on the border of Poland and the Czech Republic, and the same conventional border passes along it. You can even see the nearest ski resort in the Czech Republic – Harrachov .
Medics work on the slopes, if you get injured you don’t have to crawl to the city – a snowmobile with a special place for recumbent people will take you. There are cafes near the lifts where you can have a snack and even have lunch or just drink hot mulled wine. Soups cost from 10 zlotys, mulled wine – 11. Of course, a small correction should be made, the prices for holidays in Poland in winter are listed here compared to last year, but those who were there last year claim that the prices there have not changed much.
