Slovenia’s ski resorts are among the best in Europe. And the most popular and prestigious is the Kravets ski resort (local name Krvavets) . And many factors contribute to that.

Krvavec is located in the very center of Slovenia, in the Gorenska region in the Kamniška-Savin Alps, only 25 km from the capital Ljubljana. This is the closest ski resort from an international airport in Europe (Ljubljana – Brnik airport, 8 km).

There is an excellent tourist infrastructure here – a hotel of the same name right on the slope, several chalets and small guest houses. Krvavets is universal for both summer and winter recreation. In winter, Krvavec is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts, in summer it is a hospitable oasis for hikers and cyclists. The Summer Adrenaline Park “10 Adventures” opens its doors for family recreation in the summer.

Krvavec is ideal for active tourists, as well as for those who want to immerse themselves in the hustle and bustle of the city after skiing, because Ljubljana is very close – you can get to the capital of Slovenia in 25-30 minutes, and in the winter season there is a daily shuttle from Ljubljana to Krvavec and back, yes that you can conquer the slopes without having your own car.

For many years, Krvavets has been connected by a ski pass with another ski resort – Rogla . Despite the fact that the resorts of Krvavets and Rogla are quite far from each other, it is not difficult to combine them in one trip.

Natural beauty

Visiting Lake Bled (located 50 kilometers from the resort) will be an unforgettable experience for tourists. There is an ancient chapel on a tiny island in the middle of the water, and Bled Castle (now a historical museum) rises above the lake on a cliff. A local legend says that if you ring the bell inside the chapel, all your wishes made here will certainly come true.

Excellent tracks

The ski center of the Krvavets resort is located right on the peak of the mountain, where the “gondola” takes skiers directly from the parking lot or hotels in less than 7 minutes. The center is characterized by a large number and variety of trails, so it is suitable for both beginners and well-trained skiers. Even children can ride here. Skiing here is guaranteed 100 days a year, the season opens from the end of November. On 90% of the slopes, the snow cover is maintained with the help of snow cannons.

The tracks are located at an altitude of 1,450 to 1,971 meters. The total length of the ski tracks is 33 kilometers. Of them, 5 kilometers are on difficult tracks, 10 kilometers on easy tracks, and 18 kilometers on medium tracks. There is also a 3-kilometer running track, two ski jumps with a height of 50 m and 70 m. Numerous lifts (7 chairlifts, 1 gondola, 3 cable cars) take tourists to the descent. From here you can admire a wonderful view of the Alps.

 

 

Krvavets ski resort has received more than twenty awards, among them “Crystal Snowflake”. Krvavets was noted as the most organized resort in the country. Many German and Swiss tourists prefer this resort to their native one. This is due to the fact that with excellent service, local routes are much cheaper, but representatives of these nations are used to counting money.

Krvavets ski resort – skiing season, prices

Skiing on the slopes of the Krvavets ski resort is guaranteed for at least 100 days a year. On most of them (90%), the snow cover is maintained with the help of special guns. The season lasts from November to April. The cost of a day skipass (subscription for the use of lifts) for an adult is 30 euros per day (160 euros per week). The pass is also valid for use at the Rogla resort (120 kilometers from Kravets).

Krvavets ski resort – how to get there

Kravets resort is only 10 kilometers from Ljubljana airport, and you can get to Ljubljana in half an hour. In this regard, you can stay in hotels in Ljubljana (there is a constant bus service to the resort).

Where to stay
