The ski complex Karlov – Mala Moravka is one of the largest centers of winter sports in Jeseník. It is located at an altitude of 700-940 meters above sea level. The geographical location of the resort provides excellent conditions for skiing and snowboarding throughout the winter season.
It is ideal for family vacations, as there are children’s centers, ski schools, and it is possible to leave a child with a teacher in a hotel room.
Skiing season
The ski season lasts from October to April, and you can ski on slopes with artificial snow all year round. The temperature on the slopes is -1 ..- 5 ° C.
How to get there
The ski complex is located quite far from the capital of the Czech Republic, at a distance of 343 km. You can get here in a few hours by bus, train or your own car. Free parking is available on the territory of the resort.
Tracks
Tourists are offered the opportunity to ride on 12 tracks of varying difficulty with a total length of 12 km. There are 6 blue, 4 red and 2 black routes. There is a black track with a length of 500 m and an ascent of 195 m. It is characterized by the greatest difficulty of descent and is intended only for experienced athletes. 40% of all tracks are covered with artificial snow. Special lighting on illuminated routes with a length of 3.89 km allows you to ride even in the evening.
Tourists are transported by 13 lifts with a capacity of up to 9,260 people per hour. Recently, two new funiculars started operating in Karlovy Vary.
The cost of the lift is 450 CZK per day for an adult and 350 CZK for a child.
The Karlov-Mala Moravka ski complex also offers about 70 kilometers of prepared tracks for cross-country skiing.
For those who want to improve their skills or learn to skate from scratch, the resort has a high-class school with experienced instructors.
Hotels
On the territory of the Karlov – Mala Moravka resort, vacationers are provided with various accommodation options: business-class hotels, mini-hotels, hostels. The price of accommodation depends on the level of comfort provided, so economical tourists should choose a mini-hotel. For a comfortable family vacation, three-star hotels or apartments are suitable.
Hotel Kamzik is a 3-star hotel
Offering an indoor pool and a gym, Hotel Kamzik is located in Mala Moravka. It offers rooms with a private balcony and free Wi-Fi. There are ski slopes just 200 m from the hotel.
In the hotel’s restaurant, guests can taste local home-cooked meals, as well as order half-board or full-board meals. The bar offers a wide selection of soft drinks and Moravian wines.
