The Enkamp ski resort rests on the Valira River, surrounded by mountains and plains. This small town is the second largest parish in Andorra. Very close to it, at a distance of 3 kilometers, is El Cortez – a picturesque village that is inhabited only when tobacco is being collected and processed.
The Encamp resort has excellent infrastructure, as well as all the necessary things for a wonderful vacation. The resort was created specifically for professional skiers, lovers of active recreation and diversifying their vacation.
Weather in Encamp
The climate is mild. All this is due to the direct influence of the Mediterranean Sea. The weather is always sunny and pleasant for relaxation, optimal for skiing, daily presence of snow cover.
There are no severe frosts here. Basically, the air temperature reaches 0 and -3 degrees at night, during the day from +5 to 9 degrees. In summer, from 8 to 15 degrees. Fogs and snow storms do not happen here more than five times a year.
Tracks and lifts at the resort
In this resort, as in the entire area, there is one ski pass and one lift system. That is why this zone is the largest in all of Europe.
A total of 195 km of tracks with 950 m drops, about 70 lifting systems, several areas for performing tricks, a couple of rental points, specialized schools for learning to ride, and more.

Enkamp’s ski slopes start at an altitude of 2,640 meters. According to the complexity of the resort’s trails, they are divided as follows: blue – 56 trails, red – 32 trails, black – 22 trails. There are no green tracks in Encamp, so you will have to learn to ride in nearby Andorra la Vella. A lot of lifts have been built at the resort – more than sixty. They can transfer about 100,000 skiers per hour, so Encamp does not experience any problems in this respect.

Infrastructure and entertainment
In the town of Encampi, the main entertainment can be called skiing on various winter equipment, for example, skiing or snowboarding. Nearby are tracks for both amateurs and professionals. The most exciting adventure with the use of sports equipment can be a trip on skis from Encamp to Pas de la Casa . But be alert, watch the time – otherwise, losing this feeling, you will be forced to get to your place of stay much longer: the high-speed lifts close at 5:00 p.m., after that you will have to go by bus.
Another unusual means of transport in Encamp is a special mini-train that takes tourists to Grandvalira, one of the skiing and snowboarding areas. But anyone can ride it, so you should take advantage of this fact and get another dose of positive emotions.
Evening entertainment shines as brightly as the midday snow on the mountain top of Encamp – you will find a variety of clubs, bars and discos in this fun town. And for lovers of sports and a healthy lifestyle, an entire sports and entertainment complex called Encamp Multisports Center was specially built here. There you will find two tennis and squash courts, an indoor swimming pool, basketball, volleyball and soccer courts and much more.

A few years ago, a new lift was opened on the territory of the complex – the Funicamp telecabin. This is an unusual cable car that stretches for more than 6 kilometers. It has 32 cabins, each with a capacity of 24 people. The speed of the cable car is approximately 7 m / s. Thanks to these advantages, travelers will be able to reach the top of Collada D’Enradort in a few minutes. Where is Encamp and how to get there
Geographically , Encamp is right in the center of Andorra, a few minutes’ drive from the capital of Andorra la Vella. This ski resort combines modern architecture with old buildings in the Romanesque style. And, although it is located so close to the capital, it is calm and quiet here, and the few restaurants that operate here do not disturb the peaceful life of the parish.
To get to this wonderful town, you will need to take a bus from Barcelona or Toulouse. You can also rent a car to drive yourself along the flat, which means beautiful roads on the way to the resort.
You can get here from Andorra la Vella by bus, which runs every couple of hours. To be more precise, the bus immediately arrives at Pas De La Casa. But on the way he stops at all resorts, including Encamp.
In order, Encamp goes first, so you can get there in literally 15 minutes of leisurely driving. During the ski season, the trip may be delayed indefinitely. Therefore, if you are going on a weekend or in the hot season of all skiers, choose another mode of transport.
