For snowboarders, there are 2 half-pipes, a fan park and a border cross track, there are international level tracks and freeride areas, as well as the opportunity to go downhill skiing and snowboarding at night.

In addition, all ski centers have toboggan runs, and in the “Yenner” zone there is a toboggan and bobsled track for professionals, which is currently open to everyone.

84 km of cross-country ski trails laid out in a picturesque area guarantee pleasure for lovers of cross-country skiing in both classic and ridge style.

There are mountain cafes in all skiing areas.

The slopes are served by 31 lifts, which can be used not only with a separate ticket, but also by purchasing a single ski pass. In addition, a single ski pass gives you the opportunity to go downhill skiing in the Zinkov ski center in Austria. You can get to it from the Rossfeld skiing area.

Skiing areas are not connected by a system of lifts, as they are located at a fairly remote distance from each other. You can get from one skiing area to another by bus. It should be borne in mind that holders of guest cards have the opportunity to use city and suburban buses for free.

The tea house, located at an altitude of 1,834 meters in the Obersalzberg district, was built during 1937-1938. Adolf Hitler received it as a gift for his 50th anniversary from the NSDAP. For five years (from 1946 to 1951), the house belonged to the American military, and they nicknamed it the “Eagle’s Nest” because of its location on top of the mountain.

After the house was handed over to the Bavarian government, demolition was initially planned, then it was decided to simply blow up the ruins of other buildings located on the given territory.

In the distant 12th century, salt was mined in these places. In the 16th century, the first mines were opened, some of which are still functioning today. The tunnel, through which excursions are conducted for tourists, was one of the first created at that time. This area attracted many people, as salt mining was actively carried out here, which was a consequence of the appearance of a large ski resort.

The healing gallery in the salt tunnels was opened in 1990 and is the only one in Western Europe. A special electric train takes visitors deep into the mountains. After 750 m, a wooden gate opens into a hall with an area of ​​850 square meters. m., located in a complete salt layer. Special lighting creates the atmosphere of a fairy-tale castle in the hall. Visitors sit on comfortable wooden deckchairs around a salt pool with a fountain. No more than 50 patients visit the tunnels in one visit, they are accompanied by specialists. Staying in tunnels at an air temperature of 12 ° C and 85% humidity lasts about 2 hours. The special climate of salt tunnels has a positive therapeutic effect in diseases of the upper respiratory tract, allergies, migraines, rheumatism, sleep disorders.

Lakes Könegsee, Obersee, Hintersee
