Location, how to get there

The 220-hectare Maribor Pohorje ski center is located in the east of Slovenia on the Drava River at the foot of the Kosiak and Pohorje slopes, 17 km from Austria. From the Ljubljana airport, you must first get to the city of Maribor, then take a bus to the resort itself. The distance between the cities is 6 km, the distance can be covered by car in 10 minutes.

Resort infrastructure, entertainment

The Pohor Alps are the longest in Slovenia. The entire infrastructure of the resort is aimed at comfortable active recreation. For this, the slopes are equipped with tracks of varying difficulty for mountain skiing and cross-country skiing. The condition of the snow cover is maintained with the help of snow cannons.

Tracks, slopes and lifts

The tracks (16 pieces) of Maribor Pohoria with the highest skiing point 1347 m above sea level and the lowest – 330 m, have a height difference of 1017 m and operate from December to April.

Their total length is 64 km, of which:

14 km – black tracks;

20 – red;

30 – blue.

Including 4.5 km are night tracks. In addition, there are 28 km for cross-country skiing. 20 snow cannons on the ski slopes allow you to renew their surface and maintain the condition at the proper level. Tourists can climb the mountains on 21 lifts of three types: cable lifts (17 pcs.), chair lifts (3 pcs.) and one cabin lift. Beginners can learn at the Maribor ski school.

The cost of ski passes depends on the age of tourists and the length of stay on the slopes.
