This year (2025), we were able to travel through 15 Franconian towns as a kind of “Franconian ambassador,” exploring them for ourselves and for you. It was an incredibly exciting, intense, diverse, and thrilling time. Franconia, nestled in northern Bavaria, presents itself as a fascinating treasure trove of rich culture, picturesque landscapes, and historic towns. In probably no other region in Germany can you marvel at such a high density of half-timbered houses as in Franconia.

Whether Dinkelsbühl, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Kulmbach, Bamberg, Nuremberg or even Forchheim – the region is bursting with beautiful towns. They are rich in historic buildings, unique sights, great museums, lively markets, lush vineyards, and hearty Franconian cuisine. But not only wine plays a role here, but above all beer. No other region in Germany offers such a high density of breweries. It’s no wonder, then, that the region is also called a “beer paradise.”

In our Franconia podcast, we relive our journey and take you to 15 Franconian towns. To keep it short, we’ve divided the podcast into three parts. In the first episode, we take you to Coburg, Bamberg, Kulmbach, Bayreuth, and Nuremberg. The second episode revolves around the cities of Fürth, Erlangen, Forchheim, Dinkelsbühl and Eichstätt. In the last episode, we’ll take you to Ansbach, Schweinfurt, Würzburg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Aschaffenburg.
