Explore ANA’s New Boeing 777 Routes
In 2019, All Nippon Airways (ANA), our friendly Japanese Star Alliance member, took the wraps off a shiny new first and business class product. With the summer 2025 IATA travel schedule now in play, let’s catch up on how ANA is coming along with installing these splendid new cabins. Airlines, like kids at Christmas, love making changes to their schedules around this time.
Unpacking ANA’s New First & Business Class
Okay, let’s talk about these cabins because they are jaw-droppingly awesome. ANA always nailed the service, but now they’ve got the hardware to match.
“The Suite” is what they call the new first class. It’s got a sleek look, and the step-up from the old digs is massive. Think eight super cozy suites, each packing privacy and functionality. Honestly, I’d rank it among the best in the world, mainly because ANA’s service is just top-notch.
“The Room,” their new business class, is where it gets revolutionary. We’re talking seats with doors and an insane amount of space – a top-tier product, up there with the best of the best.
Where Can You Get ANA’s Swanky New First & Business Class?
Yes, you can catch these new cabins on some routes, but it’s not everywhere just yet. So, where can you expect to find them? Let’s dive into the details of how many of ANA’s 777s are packing these plush digs and which routes you can ride in style.
Count of ANA 777s with New First & Business Class
Here’s the tally: ANA’s fleet includes 13 Boeing 777-300ERs. Of these, ten are flaunting the new cabins, which means about 77% are ready to roll. Six of these birds are brand new, delivered post-2019, and the other four have undergone a serious makeover. Sadly, for the remaining 777s, there’s no solid game plan to jazz them up anytime soon.
Curious about which 777s have these new cabins? Here’s a rundown:
- JA784A
- JA785A
- JA787A
- JA788A
- JA793A
- JA794A
- JA795A
- JA796A
- JA797A
- JA798A
As for the holdouts still rocking the vintage cabins, it’s just these three:
- JA790A
- JA791A
- JA792A
Spotting the New Cabins on ANA Flights
Wondering how to suss out if your flight has the new swanky cabins? It’s all in the seat map, my friend. Check out the business class layout:
- New cabin has 64 seats, old one has either 52 or 68
- If row 20 is in the mix, congrats, you’re looking at the new business class
ANA’s website is pretty upfront. If your flight has “THE SUITE” or “THE ROOM,” you’re in business. Alternatively, pop over to Google Flights, search for a business class flight on ANA’s 777, and “Individual suite” means new. Seeing “Lie flat seat”? Say hello to the old digs.
Note, these cabins are exclusive to the 777-300ERs – you won’t see them on the likes of 787s, A380s, or anything else in ANA’s fleet.
ANA’s Latest 777 Cabins Hit the Skies on These Routes
For the winter 2024-2025 schedule, here’s where you can find ANA’s snazzy new cabins:
- Tokyo Haneda (HND) to London (LHR) – all flights
- Tokyo Haneda (HND) to New York (JFK) – all flights
- Tokyo Haneda (HND) to Chicago (ORD) – some flights, varies by day
- Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Chicago (ORD) – some flights, varies by day
- Tokyo Narita (NRT) to San Francisco (SFO) – some flights, varies by day
Translation? Expect to enjoy the new cabins on every flight to London and New York, and on selected routes to Chicago and San Francisco. Always double-check the seat map, though – things can change faster than you can say “Val Seny ski resort”.
Remember, the Tokyo Haneda to San Francisco flight NH107/108 sticks with the older cabins, even though it’s a 777. And Houston, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington are Boeing 787 territory for now.
Aircraft swaps can always throw a wrench in the works last minute, especially as ANA loves to fiddle with its schedule.
Bottom Line
So, there we have it. ANA gave a first and business class makeover back in 2019, spreading these plush cabins across ~77% of their 777-300ERs. Eyeing the summer 2025 schedule? Expect to fly fancy to London and New York every time, with selected Chicago and San Francisco flights offering a taste of the new luxury. Remember, always peek at that seat map for any surprise twists.
