Want atmospheric and truly beautiful Desenio posters? Whether by the roaring sea, in lush forests, sandy deserts, or in the wonderful mountains – we simply feel at home everywhere. Traveling is not only our passion, it has also been our main job for more than three years.
Nevertheless, due to the pandemic, the long-awaited surfing holiday in Portugal had to be canceled this year, as did the exciting safari in South Africa and the desert tour through Abu Dhabi. We all had to slow down a bit this year and put our own needs aside.
So, back in the spring, we finally started making our apartment a bit more comfortable. The motto was: If not traveling, then at least bringing a generous dose of wanderlust into your own four walls.
Beautiful Desenio Posters
Since our apartment is surrounded by reinforced concrete walls, it was really bare for a long time (almost three years). Simply hammering a nail into the wall is simply not possible, and so it’s always a lot of work to hang beautiful pictures and decorative items on the walls. Eventually, however, we came up with the brilliant idea of using so-called adhesive nails*. Man, why didn’t we think of that sooner? That finally solved our problems.
There are many poster providers online these days, but we ordered our first picture almost two years ago from www.desenio.de. With a Desenio poster, we finally wanted to liven things up, or rather, our living room wall. If you’ve been following us for a while, you certainly know that we have a very strong connection to Africa. So, it’s no surprise that our first picture in the apartment features a giraffe.

The Corona crisis dragged on (and continues to drag on), and so we finally started to redesign other rooms a bit. Since we’ve had our own office since December last year, we were able to make some changes to our former office in our apartment.
The result is a really cozy guest room with a small work area, lots of plants, and some storage space. The collaboration with Desenio came at just the right moment, as our walls in this room were previously completely bare. We ordered some truly fantastic Desenio posters, naturally again with a reference to our favorite continent, Africa.
On the Desenio website, you’ll find a large selection of animal and landscape posters. Since we redesigned the guest room in beautiful, light, warm colors, we wanted these colors (if possible) to also be featured in the Desenio posters. We finally found our beautiful Africa posters using the search and filter function.

Beach Poster in the Living Room
The empty wall behind our sofa has always been a big question mark. Plenty of space, but no ideas. After painting two walls a pleasant shade of gray, placing a beautiful, enormous dining table, getting lots of green plants, and upcycling some old furniture, the large “main wall” remained empty once again.
The reason for this was actually always just our indecision. Since neither of us is exactly the most creative, we sometimes lack the imagination to create beautiful things.
We love the sea and, for this reason, live on the German Baltic coast. Without water? We can’t imagine it. Of course, we also really enjoy the mountains, but the sea is our number one priority. So why not bring a little sea and surfing feeling into the living room?
On the Desenio website, we found three beautiful posters that, in our opinion, also match each other well in terms of color. These pictures remind us a little of our time in Bali, Mauritius, and the Caribbean.
On the Desenio website, you’ll find a large selection of picture frames: black metal frames, white metal frames, and beautiful wooden frames. Since almost all stores are currently closed, this option came in very handy, and we also ordered a few black frames.
The posters and frames were delivered well and securely packaged in a large box. At first, we weren’t sure if black frames would really fit, but the end result is impressive, isn’t it? We’re absolutely delighted and enjoy this beautiful view every day.

Desenio’s website is very well structured, and it’s easy to navigate. Using the search and filter function, you can find beautiful, color-coordinated posters. In the “Picture Walls” section, you’ll also find plenty of inspiration for your own four walls if you’re not quite sure what direction you want to go in. Despite the hectic pre-Christmas period, the delivery time was just 5 days, and the posters with frames arrived very well and securely packaged. By the way, there are no shipping costs for orders over €39.
Desenio is also an FSC®-certified company and uses only trees from sustainable, responsibly managed FSC-certified forests for its posters. The posters are manufactured to high standards in Sweden and are also packaged and shipped from there. Furthermore, since 2019, Desenio has been collaborating with the Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) to raise awareness of the environmental crisis surrounding our oceans.
