British Airways Crew's Wild Milan Night

British Airways Crew’s Night of Surprises in Milan

Usually, airlines are meticulous about booking the right hotels for their staff during layovers, which makes this comedic misadventure all the more captivating, don’t you think?

British Airways Crew Checked into a Love Motel in Milan

Airlines normally have solid arrangements with several hotels in cities where their crews rest overnight. Yet sometimes, as fate would have it, things don’t go according to plan – like full hotels or last-minute cancellations. And then, airlines scramble to find other spots for crews to lay their weary heads.

Picture this: According to reports, British Airways pilots and crew found themselves in quite the pickle during a Milan layover on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

At least a dozen pilots and attendants couldn’t shack up at British Airways’ usual digs due to some snafus. So, the urgent booking team worked their magic elsewhere. Only problem? They ended up in a pay-as-you-go, dime-a-dozen sex motel. An insider spills the beans:

“The crew landed themselves at a pay-by-the-hour love nest last Thursday. Let’s just say the interior design featured bondage equipment, mirrors on the ceiling, and leather get-ups. Talk about a major hotel mismatch! It was a laughingstock but had some tough ramifications.”

Awake all night, some of our crew were too exhausted to man flights the next day. The 24-hour debauchery and the non-stop groans of “guests” rendered any hope of shut-eye futile. Staff claimed they got a firsthand view of suspect trades and a round-the-clock soiree. And let’s not even mention the workers of the night seeking extra tips outside. Crew members even spotted dodgy spills all over, making their skin crawl more than a mid-flight turbulence!”

British Airways made a sheepish attempt to recognize the fiasco, dropping this statement:

“Some crew members were guided to non-approved accommodation owing to a shortage with our regular partner. Unbeknownst to us, we’re actively probing this mishap to ensure no repeats.”

How Did the Airline Let This Happen?

You’re probably scratching your head, asking, “How does an airline mix up bookings and accidentally send its staff to a love shack?” Well, this is where it gets downright entertaining.

Apparently, the staff was slated to stay at the fairly ordinary Mo.om Hotel. But fate had other plans, diverting them to Motel Mo.om – a cheeky pay-by-the-hour joint that dared wear a four-star badge. I mean, who wouldn’t confuse the two with names so a smidge alike? Seriously…?!?

And while it takes more than a quick click to unearth this establishment on the web, you’d imagine such blunders should be rare. Check out their promotional snapshots below:

The whole episode makes one ponder why the team didn’t holler for help the moment they saw, well, everything around them. Though to give credit where due, some rooms appeared almost regular at first glance. Imagine if you didn’t spot the peculiarities until your goodnights! Until they found themselves trussed up in leather, some crew probably thought, “Eh, this isn’t half bad.” Or maybe not – who am I to judge preferences?

Final Thoughts

What began as a ‘normal’ stay morphed into a drama worthy of a rom-com – BA crew inadvertently shacking up at a Milanese sex motel. What happened? Their usual hotel was off the cards, sending them into the wrong version of their intended Mo.om retreat. How often does such a mix-up strike? Makes one wonder, right?
