Predeal is famous, among other things, for being the highest mountain ski resort in Romania, as it is located at an altitude of more than 1 km above sea level.

The city of Predeal is located between prominent mountains such as Bucegi, Postevarul, Piatra Mare and Baia. The mountains reliably protect the resort area from cold cyclones and provide a mild climate. So, the average winter temperature is 5 degrees below zero, but in summer the thermometer rises to about 15 degrees Celsius.
